Can Men Join?

Absolutely! The only requirement of this club is to uplift and celebrate our members, our neighbors, and our community. If you or another person identifies as a cis-gendered male and can resonate with our mission, you are always welcome to bird with us!

What if I don't have a car?

No worries! We will do our best to provide you with a ride to our group's destination. Our leadership will most likely be carrying out this task, but members are welcome to become volunteer drivers! You can also catch up with us on social media, if you cannot make it to an event.

Do I have to be a Member?

No! This club has no official membership. You do not need to RSVP, have a special member, or pay any fees to join our bird walks. If you want to be more involved, we suggest you sign-up for our monthly newsletter. *We ask that you RSVP, so we know group size.

I've never been birding! Is that okay?

Of course! You do not need any prior birding experience to join. In fact, many of our participants have their first birding experience with our group! Birders of all skill levels are welcome to join. Check out our Resources page to get a lay of the land, if you want some guidance!

Is there an age requirement?

People of all ages are welcome at our events! Young children are always invited to enjoy the outdoors with their family. However, if you are under 18 years of age, we do require a parent or guardian to accompany you. If you do not have anyone to accompany you on our outings, please reach out to our leadership team.

Do I have to live in the Twin Cities to join?

You do NOT have to live in the area to participate in our events. The main population that we serve is in the Twin Cities Metro area, but you are not required to live in a certain place. Even if you are only in the area for the weekend, you are welcome to our events. If you are from out of MN, look at the FBC website to see if there is a chapter near you!
