Seagulls In Flight

Our Standards

We expect all members to behave in a way that upholds our principles. Examples of behaviors that affirm our principles are:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language

  • Pointing out any racist, sexist, classist, ableist, homophobic, or other biased comments and jokes made by community members when they happen, intentional or not

  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints, experiences, and cultures

  • Passing the mic to and amplifying the voices of those marginalized groups

  • Acknowledging our privileges and using them to fight for members who may not have the same privileges

  • Showing empathy towards other community members

  • Being mindful of your surroundings and fellow participants

  • Respect all flora and fauna while out on our walks - stay on trails, refrain from bringing your pets, and do not disturb wildlife

  • Using the correct pronouns for fellow members and accepting feedback gracefully, if corrected

  • Adhering to the ABA Code of Ethics
